Infrastructure Gap

Cambridge Ahead’s infrastructure gap project brings together national experts, Cambridge Ahead members, and stakeholders across the system to find solutions that will unlock Cambridge’s full potential – for local and national benefit.

This project will involve a series of expert hearings and roundtables, as well as the publication of new data and evidence, all intended to support Government and Local Authorities in their statutory roles shaping the exciting next chapter for the Cambridge city region.

Four infrastructure elements will be explored in this first phase of activity: transport and connectivity, water, energy and sustainability, and social infrastructure.

Leading and advising aspects of this work from Cambridge Ahead will be Dame Kate Barker, Dame Diane Coyle, Prof Aled Jones, Dr David Cleevely CBE and others.

This series of events, reports and hearings will also produce and provide analysis that aim to deepen Government’s understanding of the case for Cambridge.
